Governance of the Local Resources Network
Management
The Local Resources Network is managed by IEH - Ethical Trading Initiative Norway, the UK-based Ethical Trading Initiative and The Danish Ethical Trading Initiative.
IEH - Ethical Trading Initiative - Norway is a multi-stakeholder initiative involving companies, employers’ organisations, trade unions and NGOs. Its objectives are to enable its members to overcome challenges linked to decent work and environmental conditions in their global supply chains, and to strengthen support for ethical trade.
ETI - The Ethical Trading Initiative is a ground-breaking alliance of companies, trade unions and voluntary organisations. It works in partnership to improve the working lives of people across the globe who make or grow consumer goods - everything from tea to T-shirts, from flowers to footballs.
DIEH - The Danish Ethical Trading Initiative is a multi-stakeholder initiative that brings together trade unions, business associations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), public institutions and companies to promote ethical trade and responsible supply chain management. DIEH is a member based resource centre, which address social and environmental issues in global value chains.
User Reference Group
The management of the network is overseen by a User Reference Group. The group composition is comprised by:
- 3 Local Advisors
- 2 International NGOs
- 2 International trade unions
- 3 Sourcing companies
- 2 Membership groups
Current member of the User Reference Groups are: Partner Africa, Oxfam GB, Kraft Foods, Co-op and Social Accountability International. The vacancies are being filled. Please contact the secretariat of the Local Resources Network for more information.
